This sense of ease is heightened with an off-season visit to the Spa at the Vitality Center. Relaxation starts with the radiant heat of the Solarium waiting area, where plush lounge chairs host you while awaiting a massage, a facial, or both. The Spa is offering 25% off treatments this time of year, so it’s a good time to check out unique offerings or even combine a couple.
More Than Skin Deep
The 50-minute Coffee and Sea Kelp Body scrub is an invigorating experience created by using an exfoliating skin product made with organic coffee, sea kelp and pumice. Enjoy the rich and warm smell of freshly roasted coffee beans as the scrub is rigorously applied over the skin, removing excess and impurities while stimulating the lymph system.
The treatment is completed with an application of organic coconut cream, a luscious and rich moisturizer made with coconut oil and cocoa butter. The cream promotes skin-elasticity, and leaves you all aglow. Add a 25-minute massage to the end of the treatment to dive a little deeper into your muscles.
Head from your scrub straight back into the Solarium, sip some tea and soak up more warmth from the sun. You can end your experience here, or get ready for round two …
Revitalize Your Face
Booking a back-to-back treatment definitely allows for a deeper immersion into the spa, and it gives you that much more time to unwind.
“If people come in and have more than a massage it’s more of an experience, and it tends to linger a little bit longer, too” explains Lisa DeKoster, Spa and Programs Manager and Licensed Esthetician of the Spa at the Vitality Center.
Make your next treatment a Classical Dr. Hauschka Facial, which incorporates the holistic line of skin products, as well as the unique lymphatic stimulation that is a Dr. Hauschka signature method.
DeKoster and her team of estheticians are all highly trained to use the products in the ways that they are meant to work with your skin, bringing it back to a state of balance and rejuvenation.
The facial includes massages for the legs, feet, arms and hands, bringing the energy into a grounded state as your face is cleansed and rehydrated throughout the experience with a smooth and gentle cleansing milk, steam bath and rejuvenating masks.
Make The Space Your Own
If you can, come in at least 30 minutes before first treatment to have a chance to settle into the space. In the upcoming winter months, The Vitality Center is bustling with an abundance of guests and fully booked days, but this time of year is your chance to have the spa all to yourself.
