The annual GoPro Mountain Games held in Vail every June is a standout event, and it’s always the weekend that kicks of the summer season for the area. The dates this year are Thursday, June 8 through Sunday, June 11, 2017.

“Outside of the beautiful summer weather here in Vail, the variety of competitions, activities and vendors make the GoPro Mountain games a very special event,” says Blake Gould, Fitness Operations Manager for the Vail Vitality Center. “There aren’t many competitions in America that can take advantage of so much beauty, land, and more while having world-class athletes participating. It is also very nice that people can come in from all over the world and attend every event free of cost.”

The Vail Vitality Center supports the Mountain Games every year by hosting the World Cup Climbers and providing their isolation area.

“This is very special for us as a company, and we are very proud to be able to offer these climbers isolation and the ability to warm up and prep on Vail’s only indoor climbing wall,” Gould explains.

The facility supports more than professional athletes in getting ready for the Games whether they are competing or spectating.

“Here at the Vail Vitality Center, we have top of the line trainers, coaches and massage therapists,” says Gould. “We have been offering a 35 percent discount on spa treatments since the end of April, which has helped members and guests get their bodies feeling well and recovered. We also provide a wide variety of classes and personal training options which are great for cross training to prep people and to help them avoid overuse injury.”
